Cultural Events

Out and About with the EL Culture Vultures

One of the things which makes EL stand out from other social clubs is the sheer range and diversity of its events schedule, as is evident than in its extensive programme of both evening and weekend trips to various cultural attractions in and around the capital.

During the last few years, EL has organised events at venues as unusual and wide-ranging as Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Hayward Gallery, Somerset House, The Royal Academy, The National Portrait Gallery, The Wallace Collection, Buckingham Palace, the Millennium Dome, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, the Royal Institute of British Architecture, the Dali Experience, Sotheby's, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the British Library, County Hall, Imperial War Museum...

And it's far from being a case of visiting stuffy old buildings crammed to the rafters with obscure art. We've been to some of the newest attractions in London, and in amongst these events we've been treated to fashion shows, talks, champagne cocktails, performance art, and even live DJ's. Many of our cultural events include free admission to the venue, and they often provide a good opportunity to mix with regular and new members, and usually include the option for either a pre- or post-event meal or drinks.

So, if you enjoy attending some cultural events with like-minded people, why not join EL and keep an eye out for details of other great cultural events in the forthcoming Entertaining London calendars. Look forward to seeing you soon.
