EL Going Live

If you have an interest in music, particularly live music, then this could be just the thing you have been looking for.

EL Going Live is effectively a music club within the larger EL club, organised by Simon Taylor, band member of "The Lost Boutique". We meet regularly once a month in a pub in central London to decide what concerts and gigs we would like to go to. All EL members are welcome and anyone is free to make suggestions of artists or venues they are interested in and if enough people are interested then tickets are booked and the event goes ahead.

At the regular meeting we also have a pop quiz for a bit of fun. It lasts about an hour and everyone is on a team so there’s no pressure if you feel your pop music trivia knowledge is not quite up to scratch!

• John Otway (at the 100 Club)

• Electric Underground Orchestra (a jazz band)
• The Sufrajets
• Glen Tilbrook (ex lead singer of Squeeze)
• Lost Boutique (Simon Taylor's band!!)
• The Fleadh (a one day music festival in London featuring The Charlatans, Billy Bragg, Bob Dylan, The Delays and more!)

So as you can see there is good deal of variety in what we see and we are always open to new suggestions!
